Projects

Grant under the authority of Minority Rights Group – MARIO to support and promote human rights (2024). A project entitled FROM LANGUAGE ISOLATION TO INCLUSION focused on mapping and analyzing deaf Roma, which included examining the social, cultural, and communication aspects of this specific group, which faces double marginalization – as deaf people and as members of the Roma community. The aim was to obtain comprehensive data on their numbers, language preferences, access to education, employment, and public services, with an emphasis on identifying the barriers that prevent them from participating fully in social life.

Subsidy under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic for the promotion, support, and protection of human rights and freedoms and for the prevention of all forms of discrimination, racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and other manifestations of intolerance (2025). The project entitled WE ARE CREATING A COMMUNITY OF DEAF ROMA TOGETHER focused on improving the quality of life in the community of deaf Roma living in socially excluded communities. At the same time, it also focused on mapping the specific needs and challenges of this community, identifying the individual needs of deaf Roma with the aim of proposing targeted measures to improve their living conditions and inclusion in society. The project also provides professional training for workers in this field. The outcome of the project should be a comprehensive strategy for the inclusion of deaf Roma through educational programs and support services.
